Spring is nature’s season of renewal and rejuvenation for all beings.
It is also the perfect time for you to join us for an Ayurvedic and Yoga
Intensive Retreat May 8 – 13, 2008 at beautiful Haramara
Eco Retreat on the sandy surf coast of Sayulita, Mexico.
The ancient teachings of Yoga and Ayurveda offer a way of detoxifying, nourishing
and replenishing our bodies. During this five-night, six day retreat, you
will be guided through a program of both teachings and experiences designed
to awaken our beings and bodies to the potential growth of the new season.
By applying the wisdom of the ages-old Ayurvedic health care system to our
daily lives, we find ourselves aligning our diet, yoga, meditation and other
activities with the rhythms of nature. As our environment shifts from the
chill of winter to the warmth of spring, so will we. It’s a wonderful
prescription for health and balance.
These six days offer understanding and practices that can change your life
and can be maintained for a lifetime. The principles are easy to learn.
The techniques are fun to practice. The outcomes will enhance your physical,
mental, emotional and spiritual balance.
Topics covered in the retreat will include:

Jennifer Taylor: Co-Creator Blue Sage Ayurveda
Jennifer Taylor has dedicated her life to spiritual development and to serving
others on their spiritual quest. Jennifer offers her services in Ayurveda,
Acupressure and Reiki at Blue
Sage Ayurveda ~ Berkeley.
Her early years in ballet and gymnastics prepared Jennifer for a natural
transition during her 20s into teaching yoga in the Northern California
for many years. Jennifer’s teaching style is influenced by Iyengar,
Hatha, Yin/Yang, Ashtanga & Shadow yoga. It was during her Yoga Teacher’s
Certification in Canada, where she was introduced to basic Ayurvedic concepts.
Shortly thereafter she left her corporate life and went to study and experience
an Ayurvedic detoxification process called Pancha Karma in the Keralas (India).
It was only a short 3 days into the program that she was touched by the
deep resonance of this healing system and knew that she would go back home
to study it formally. Jennifer received her certification from The California
College of Ayurveda (CCA), as a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist, and the American
Institute of Vedic Studies. Jennifer completed her Pancha Karma Therapist
certification after studying with Dr. Sarita Shrestha of Nepal at Mount
Madonna and with Ragaia Belovarac of CCA. She has studied Ayurveda in both
Southern India, Kathmandu & Baktapur, Nepal.
While at CCA, Jennifer met her spiritual teacher ~ Swami Khecaranatha of
the Nityananda lineage. A year later she was asked to start her gurukula
under him. She now teaches kundalini meditation and hatha yoga asana at
Sacred Space Yoga Sanctuary/Rudramandir where she also helps to coordinate
the Healing Arts, Presenting Arts and Weekly Yoga Programs.
Jennifer lives in Berkeley, CA where she is dabbles in rock climbing, tango
dancing, and Vedic Astrology as a hobby. Jennifer feels that bringing people
into awareness through the natural rhythms of nature (Ayurveda), and tonifying/purifying
the body/mind through asana allows her to share love and light with each
person through her journey of life.
